Around Africa on my Bicycle frustrated me though. I found it a real struggle to get into the book and however much I wanted to fall in love with the book, I just couldn't.
I really tried to force myself to keep reading but the lack of fluidity and the sheer length of the book made it quite a battle/5(29). I first read this book in A friend of mine lent it to me.
Riaan's story is a great inspiration to me because cycling around Africa on a bicycle is a crazy idea. But crazy people do crazy things and by so doing inspire others. The book is quite huge but then again, two years of cycling can't be explained at length in a shorter book/5(30).
